Credit repair is a service provided under CROA – which stands for theCredit Repair Organization Act. CROA allows credit repair service providers to assist consumers in the correction of items on their consumer credit reports that prove to be inaccurate, outdated, unverifiable. Any credit repair agency that claims to be able to remove ANY item other than those identified above is in violation of the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA).
So, what is credit repair then? Credit repair is working with the bureaus to verify and validate the information that is on your credit report. t’s working with the creditors, collection agencies, and/or courthouses to create an agreement of removal one way or another. At the end of the day neither we as a credit repair company nor the client/consumer can never delete anything on a credit report. Only the credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax and Transunion), creditors and/or debt collectors are the only individuals that can remove anything from a credit report.
It doesn’t matter whether the bureaus, creditors or the collection agency agree to remove it, but it’s creating an agreement of removal. hen that item gets removed from the report, all the late payments associated before, well they get removed too. The negative balance that was associated before, it got removed as well. The showing that it was settled for less than full balance? That got removed as well. It is as though that particular line item or that particular account never happened. That’s the only real way to repair your credit and what we call the credit repair service.
You can improve your credit by paying down balances and/or making your future payments on time. But as far as the negative items that are holding that person back, in order to be affected those items must be removed from the report. The only service that provides that is credit repair (not Debt Settlement , Debt Consolidation, Credit Counseling, or Bankruptcy).
Let us help you or your client repair their credit under the laws of CROA.
